Senior JavaScript Test Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer with deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript automation frameworks. You will design, build, and maintain robust automated tests for modern web applications and APIs, ensuring high quality and reliability across our product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Create automated tests for front‑end applications, APIs and end‑to‑end user flows.
• Build and manage test suites with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO or similar.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor execution.
• Analyze test failures, report defects and collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Improve test reliability, execution speed and maintainability.
• Contribute to test strategy, code reviews and quality engineering discussions.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and champion automation best practices.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in JavaScript/TypeScript test automation.
• Proficiency with Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO or comparable tools.
• Experience testing APIs using Postman, SuperTest, Axios or similar REST clients.
• Solid understanding of testing principles, test design techniques and QA processes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
• Good knowledge of Git version control and web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM, HTTP, browser behavior).
• Background working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong debugging, analytical and communication skills.
