Configuration Management Analyst

About the role

GDIT is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to support the establishment and maintenance of an enterprise IT asset and configuration management program. The role involves ensuring accurate, auditable data for configuration items throughout their lifecycle and aligning practices with security frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive Configuration Management (CM) program and support IT governance initiatives.
• Establish and sustain an IT asset management program, tracking assets and configuration items from acquisition to retirement.
• Collect, validate, and audit configuration data in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Develop CMDB policies, processes, and knowledge‑base documentation.
• Facilitate Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Review Board (CRB) meetings to manage change control.
• Apply NIST SP 800‑128, NIST CM controls, and DoW CIO Zero Trust Architecture directives to assess security risk of configuration items.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and other ITSM processes to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT asset, configuration, change, release, and deployment management.
• Detail‑oriented with strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
