Data Technology Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Data Technology Consultant to shape and operationalize a robust data product framework. In this role you will define data products, establish governance structures, and design scalable workflows that enable teams to ingest, publish, and manage data assets confidently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a practical definition of a “data product” tailored to the organization’s context.
• Design and implement a transparent ownership model with clear responsibilities for each data product.
• Set minimum documentation requirements and quality benchmarks for all data products.
• Document step‑by‑step procedures for data ingestion, product creation, and secure publishing.
• Create simple, repeatable workflows that reduce friction for users across teams.
• Provide guidance on safe, compliant data handling while maintaining data integrity.
• Facilitate training sessions or workshops to onboard users to the new processes.
• Establish a centralized documentation strategy and enforce standards for product descriptions, ownership, and business context.
• Implement discoverability mechanisms such as searchable catalogs and metadata tagging, and define minimal validation requirements.
• Define baseline access‑control principles and pragmatic approaches to data quality management and stewardship.
• Design a lightweight governance cadence that integrates regular check‑ins, platform usage metrics, and feedback loops.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in a data‑focused consulting or operations role.
• Background in data governance, data management, or data product operations with proven success in implementing operating models.
• Ability to define and operationalize frameworks and workflows in dynamic environments.
• Exceptional documentation and communication skills, capable of translating complex concepts into clear guidance.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and adapting approaches to meet organizational objectives.
