Lead ABAP/EWM Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead ABAP/EWM Engineer to design, develop and deliver high‑impact SAP ABAP solutions for Extended Warehouse Management. The role works closely with functional consultants in an Agile/Scrum environment to translate logistics requirements into robust technical implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test and release custom ABAP developments and change requests within SAP EWM and core logistics modules.
• Implement complex solutions using ABAP Objects, BADIs, user exits, enhancement spots, IDocs, RFCs, Web Services and, where applicable, SAP Fiori/UI5.
• Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and efficient ABAP code.
• Diagnose root causes, debug existing programs and optimise performance for high‑volume logistics transactions.
• Coordinate unit and integration testing with functional consultants and QA teams, maintaining thorough technical documentation.
• Collaborate with system architects, business analysts and functional consultants in an Agile/Scrum setting.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong domain expertise in SAP EWM, including RF Framework, warehouse task creation, inbound/outbound delivery processing and storage control.
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
