Lead AI Engineer - Java with Claude Code

About the role

We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer to guide development teams in building AI‑assisted software solutions. The role combines hands‑on Java development, frontend architecture in Angular, and cloud infrastructure management on AWS, while integrating AI tools such as Claude Code to accelerate delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver production‑grade Java services using Spring Boot and container platforms like AWS Fargate.
• Act as technical authority for Angular frontend development, focusing on component architecture, RxJS, and routing.
• Architect and implement AWS CDK stacks, including Fargate tasks, ALB routing, Lambda functions, and CloudFront distributions.
• Provide strategic guidance on serverless workflows, authoring Lambda and Lambda@Edge logic for authentication and CDN‑layer functionality.
• Oversee GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automate workflows, review merge requests, and enforce deployment best practices.
• Leverage Claude Code to streamline specification, implementation, and iteration processes, integrating AI into daily development.
• Maintain AI context packs aligned with evolving codebases and domain knowledge.
• Lead sprint planning, code reviews, and team discussions to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Mentor developers on full‑stack implementation, AI tool adoption, and architectural standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑stack engineering experience with a strong focus on backend Java services and cloud‑native architecture.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience guiding development teams.
• Proven ability to mentor teams in adopting AI‑enhanced development workflows.
