Lead DevOps Engineer (Big Data)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer specialized in Big Data to join EPAM Kyrgyzstan. The role will manage and optimize our Big Data platform environment, ensuring reliable deployment, automation, and support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and analyze requirements to design technical solutions.
• Consult on infrastructure overviews and cost estimations.
• Collaborate with developers using a DevOps approach.
• Build and operate critical, highly loaded systems.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
• Write infrastructure code and automation scripts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Release/Deployment/Application Engineering experience.
• Expertise in cloud technologies, specifically AWS.
• Exposure to Big Data systems such as the Hadoop ecosystem, Cassandra, and Spark.
• Practical use of configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
• Knowledge of server‑side and distributed software.
• Familiarity with Agile, Data DevOps, and ITIL processes.
• Proficiency in Linux scripting.
• Experience providing 3rd‑line support for large critical systems.
