Lead Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain internal platforms that give development teams self‑service capabilities for deploying, monitoring and managing applications at scale. You will drive platform strategy, ensure high availability and improve developer productivity across multiple teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain internal platforms that enable self‑service deployment, monitoring and management.
• Develop and maintain standardized tools, frameworks and libraries to streamline workflows.
• Integrate development tools and services across a large ecosystem of teams.
• Improve developer experience through documentation, training and support.
• Implement high‑availability, reliability and performance practices.
• Use DORA metrics to measure and improve development and operational processes.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams for seamless integration.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve platform‑related issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in platform engineering or a related role.
• Strong understanding of software development processes, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken, written and reading).

• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep.
• GitOps tools: Flux, ArgoCD.
• Resource management tools: Crossplane, Pulumi, AWS Controllers for Kubernetes (ACK).
• Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs): Backstage, Humanitec, OpsLevel.
• Scripting: Bash, Shell, Python.
