Lead Test Automation Engineer (Python)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Test Automation Engineer with strong Python expertise to design, develop and maintain high‑quality automated regression suites and test harnesses. You will guide a team of testers, collaborate closely with developers, and ensure our testing practices meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automation solutions, including regression suites and test harnesses that follow organizational standards.
• Create inclusive test plans and test cases from functional and design specifications, execute them and report results.
• Partner with development teams to deliver functionality that meets quality and acceptance criteria.
• Act as test lead, mentor project staff and enforce best testing practices.
• Review and approve work of project team members, keeping testing activities on schedule.
• Build efficient testing solutions for web, services/APIs, and databases; participate in functional, system and regression testing.
• Participate in project scoping, functional and technical reviews, ensuring alignment with automation and performance strategies.
• Capture QA data and metrics to support risk analysis and quality delivery.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software testing experience across API, DB and UI layers.
• 1+ years of leadership experience in testing projects.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, Agile/Scrum processes and REST/SOA architectures.
• Fluent English (B2+ level) and excellent interpersonal communication.
