SAP ABAP Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Engineering Manager to lead high‑performing SAP engineering teams across multiple locations. The role combines deep technical expertise with strong people leadership to drive enterprise‑scale SAP transformation programs and define modern development standards.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and expand geographically dispersed SAP engineering teams, including senior developers, architects, consultants, and team leads.
• Establish and enforce SAP architecture principles, coding conventions, and delivery frameworks.
• Steer large‑scale transformation initiatives such as S/4HANA rollouts, ECC modernization, ABAP Cloud enablement, and BTP‑based extensions.
• Provide technical direction on ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, OData, Fiori/UI5, and SAP BTP solutions.
• Ensure clean‑core adherence, proper API consumption, and scalable enterprise design.
• Supervise delivery quality through architecture assessments, code reviews, ATC checks, and DevOps adoption.
• Collaborate with clients, delivery leadership, and business stakeholders to translate needs into resilient SAP solutions.
• Contribute to presales activities, workshops, effort sizing, and executive presentations.
• Foster innovation via AI‑assisted development, automation, and modern engineering practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in SAP engineering, development, or technical delivery leadership.
• At least 1 year of experience leading SAP development or engineering organizations with distributed teams.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in SAP ABAP, including classic ABAP, ABAP Objects, ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, OData, and S/4HANA development.
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders in international environments.
