Senior AWS Python Developer / Ops Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AWS Python Developer or Operations Engineer with more than six years of experience to join our team. You will work independently on a mature, event‑driven serverless platform, making technical decisions and guiding architecture for complex distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly resilient, event‑driven services on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code using AWS CDK (TypeScript) to ensure reliable deployments.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, evaluate alternatives, and document trade‑offs.
• Ensure operational excellence: security, high availability, scalability, and observability.
• Write and maintain automated end‑to‑end tests to guarantee product quality.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to evolve the developer platform and engineering standards.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional experience in Python development.
• Deep operational knowledge of DynamoDB, including single‑table design, GSIs/LSIs, capacity planning, TTL, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of AWS fundamentals (VPCs, multi‑account setups, security) and extensive experience with AWS Lambda in high‑traffic production.
• Hands‑on experience with event‑driven patterns using EventBridge, SQS, and SNS.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, preferably AWS CDK in TypeScript.
• Familiarity with distributed system concepts such as ACID vs. BASE and eventual consistency.
