Senior Data Engineer with Terraform

About the role

EPAM Kyrgyzstan is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong Terraform expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will lead the development of reliable data pipelines while promoting infrastructure‑as‑code and DevOps best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable data pipelines using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataform/dbt.
• Coordinate workflow orchestration with Cloud Composer (Airflow) and manage real‑time streaming via Pub/Sub and Cloud Storage.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across all systems.
• Coach team members and advocate for engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with SQL and Python.
• Deep knowledge of GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform/dbt).
• Proficiency with Cloud Composer/Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
• Strong background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English B2+).
• Business acumen and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
