Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for experienced Senior DevOps/Platform Engineers to join the Platform Operations & Engineering team of a global technology services firm. The role focuses on modernising point‑of‑sale (POS) systems deployed at edge locations, ensuring high availability, security and observability across distributed environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure enhancements on edge sites using Oracle Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s/K3s), Helm, Kustomize and Ansible.
• Deploy and operate containerised applications in distributed edge computing environments.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, applying GitOps principles.
• Implement automated testing, security scanning and deployment processes.
• Configure observability stack (FluentBit, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana) and create dashboards, alerts and incident‑response procedures.
• Develop platform tools, scripts and automation in Bash and Python to support development teams.
• Collaborate with Systems Architects and agile development squads to translate designs into production‑ready solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on Linux administration (Oracle Linux preferred), Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines and practising GitOps.
• Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring and logging tools for distributed systems.
• Solid scripting abilities in Bash and Python.
• Understanding of edge computing challenges, high‑availability and disaster‑recovery concepts.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and mentoring skills within cross‑functional agile teams.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
