Senior JavaScript Test Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer with deep expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript automation frameworks. You will design, build, and maintain reliable automated tests for modern web applications and APIs, ensuring high quality and maintainability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Create automated tests for frontend applications, APIs and end‑to‑end user flows.
• Build and maintain test suites with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO or similar.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor execution.
• Analyze test failures, report defects and collaborate with developers on resolution.
• Improve test reliability, execution time and overall maintainability.
• Participate in test strategy definition, code reviews and quality engineering discussions.
• Mentor other QA engineers and promote automation best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience in test automation using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO or comparable tools.
• Proficiency in API testing with Postman, SuperTest, Axios or similar REST clients.
• Solid understanding of testing principles, test design techniques and QA processes.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
• Good knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM, HTTP, browser behavior).
• Familiarity with Git version control and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong debugging, analytical and communication skills.
