Senior Lead AI Engineer / Architect

About the role

EPAM is seeking a seasoned AI Engineer or Architect to drive cutting‑edge Generative AI initiatives. You will work on both client projects and EPAM’s own products, shaping AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced GenAI solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Develop, refine, and optimise AI systems within EPAM’s in‑house products, improving the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate on client‑specific projects to integrate AI capabilities and solve business problems.
• Troubleshoot unpredictable technical and infrastructural issues across projects.
• Continuously adopt new technologies and methodologies to keep development practices state‑of‑the‑art.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level software development experience, up to architect responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in Python, especially within Generative AI frameworks.
• Familiarity with additional languages such as Java.NET, C/C++, or JavaScript.
• Hands‑on experience in production GenAI environments (prompt engineering, integration, fine‑tuning).
• Passion for continuous learning in GenAI and a willingness to code beyond architectural design.
