Senior Python GenAI Engineer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join a fast‑paced team building modern data platforms and AI‑driven solutions. You will design scalable services, create cloud‑native applications, and use GenAI tools to accelerate development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web services and background jobs using FastAPI.
• Build and optimise data processing and reporting pipelines with Pandas, Polars, openpyxl, and DuckDB.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipeline architectures (data lakes, medallion, star schema).
• Deploy and manage applications on Azure (Container Apps, Storage, Service Bus, SignalR).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation (GitHub Actions).
• Apply Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices (Bicep, Terraform, AWS CDK).
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production Python experience.
• Hands‑on experience with FastAPI or similar web frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data processing tools (Pandas, Polars, openpyxl, DuckDB).
• Understanding of data pipeline design patterns (data lakes, medallion architecture, star schema).
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and Azure services.
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Bicec, Terraform, AWS CDK) and AI‑assisted coding (GitHub Copilot).
