Senior Security and Networking Engineer

About the role

EPAM is looking for a Senior Security and Networking Engineer to strengthen the security and reliability of its high‑traffic platform. You will combine deep network and web‑application security expertise with solid networking fundamentals to protect critical services and work closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate security incidents and optimise security configurations across the platform.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Infrastructure and Application teams to enhance protection.
• Configure and manage DDoS protection, bot mitigation and web‑application firewall solutions.
• Analyse HTTP/HTTPS traffic to detect and mitigate threats.
• Maintain and improve edge‑security solutions on the Akamai platform.
• Troubleshoot networking issues related to TCP/IP, DNS, CDN and TLS/SSL.
• Build expertise in Akamai security products to support platform operations.
• Ensure high availability through load‑balancing and proxy configurations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in network security and web‑application security.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for security incidents.
• Ability to quickly gain expertise in the Akamai platform (mandatory).
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
