Test Automation Architect (JavaScript / Python)

About the role

Join EPAM's Testing Competency Center as a Test Automation Architect. You will lead the design and implementation of modern, scalable automation solutions, focusing on JavaScript and Python ecosystems, and explore AI-driven testing innovations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end test automation architectures using JavaScript and/or Python.
• Select frameworks, tools, and set up the required infrastructure.
• Build automation frameworks from scratch, ensuring maintainability and reusability.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with Dev, DevOps, and QA teams.
• Improve test coverage, execution speed, and quality metrics.
• Prototype AI‑driven testing solutions such as test generation and self‑healing tests.
• Support presales activities with solution design, estimations, and technical proposals.
• Mentor teams and establish best practices in test automation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on test automation experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript (e.g., Playwright, Cypress) and/or Python (e.g., pytest, Robot Framework).
• Proven ability to build automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and modern SDLC.
• Experience integrating automation in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Good communication skills with B2+ English proficiency.
