Generator and HVAC Mechanic – SWA

About the role

The Generator and HVAC Mechanic – SWA will provide on‑site technical support for U.S. Army field operations across the Middle East. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of military and commercial generators and HVAC equipment, ensuring reliable power and climate control for critical missions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on 3 kW‑150 kW generators, including installation, removal, and load‑bank testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, electronic control modules, wiring, and switchgear.
• Service HVAC units, chillers, and environmental control units on trailers, vehicles, and standalone installations.
• Maintain UPS systems and other commercial power generation equipment.
• Fabricate wire harnesses, solder terminals, and braze copper tubing.
• Operate in both generator shop and field environments, adhering to safety and security protocols.
• Provide training to site operations and maintenance personnel and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School diploma (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum 7 years of experience with diesel generators, HVAC systems, and related electrical work.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Valid U.S. passport (minimum 2 years), U.S. driver’s license and international driver’s permit.
• Section 608 Technician Certification – EPA (preferred).
