Generator HVAC Technician – Military & Commercial Systems

About the role

The Generator HVAC Technician provides on‑site technical support for both military and commercial power generation and climate control equipment used by the U.S. Army. The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and training across a range of generator sizes and HVAC units in field and shop environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on 3 kW‑150 kW generators (50/60/400 Hz) and associated AC/DC and electronic control systems.
• Install, remove, and overhaul generators in fixed and mobile locations, including parallel system integration and switch‑gear work.
• Service HVAC units, chillers, and environmental control units, both standalone and trailer‑mounted.
• Operate load banks for testing, fabricate wire harnesses, and solder terminals.
• Maintain UPS equipment and conduct mechanical inspections of all power generation assets.
• Provide technical training to site operations and maintenance personnel.
• Travel to sites in Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, and Iraq as required.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• High School diploma plus 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent technical education with 4‑5 years of experience.
• 3 + years of hands‑on experience with diesel generators and HVAC systems.
• Certified HVAC/R Universal Technician and EPA certification.
