Government Relations Director (Kyrgyzstan)

About the role

Yandex Kyrgyzstan, part of Yango Group, is looking for a Government Relations Director to lead its engagement with government authorities in Kyrgyzstan. The role works closely with business teams, Legal and PR to shape the company's relationship with authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a strategy with business teams, Legal and PR to advance the company's interests with government authorities
• Identify business priorities and turn them into an engagement agenda with senior executives, city administrations and parliament
• Monitor and analyse key economic trends in the country
• Keep business teams informed about government initiatives and propose solutions for a favourable operating environment
• Prepare submissions, letters, briefing notes, presentations and analytical materials
• Organise meetings between company leadership and key stakeholders
• Represent the company at public events and manage the delivery of company projects with relevant authorities

Required profile

• University degree in international relations, law, economics or political science
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Resilience under pressure and a results focus
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and defend positions persuasively
• High autonomy and accountability, planning work around company priorities and assessing risks
• Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects and to work in a team
