IGCSE & IBDP History Teacher

About the role

Dhirubhai Ambani International School is seeking an experienced History teacher to deliver the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme curricula. The successful candidate will inspire secondary and senior secondary students to develop critical thinking, analytical writing, and interpretative skills through inquiry‑based learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess IGCSE and IBDP History lessons in line with Cambridge and IB standards.
• Lead and support multiple student cohorts, ensuring strong academic outcomes.
• Design and implement concept‑driven, inquiry‑based learning activities.
• Provide constructive feedback to develop students' analytical and writing abilities.
• Collaborate with the teaching community to enhance curriculum delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Education or a related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE or equivalent).
• Certification or training in IB and/or Cambridge IGCSE curricula.
• 5‑7 years of successful teaching experience in IGCSE and/or IB Diploma programmes.
• Proven track record of guiding at least four cohorts with strong academic results.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
