Lead Python Test Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer with strong Python expertise and hands‑on experience in AI‑assisted engineering practices. You will own QA initiatives, drive improvements across the testing lifecycle, and work with large language models to enhance test design and automation efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for user‑facing and back‑office applications using Python and Pytest.
• Develop and expand UI and REST API automation coverage, applying AI‑assisted workflows to test analysis, scenario design and documentation.
• Decompose complex QA tasks into structured steps suitable for AI execution and manage related artifacts.
• Analyze requirements, identify gaps and translate them into clear, testable scenarios using Specification‑Driven Development principles.
• Critically evaluate AI‑generated output, validate its correctness and improve existing QA frameworks and processes.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with Python and test automation.
• Hands‑on expertise with Pytest, Pydantic, Requests and UI automation (Page Object Model, CSS selectors, XPath).
• Experience in REST API testing and using Allure for reporting.
• Practical understanding of modern LLMs, their capabilities, limitations and guardrails.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
