Lead SAP FI Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Lead SAP FI Consultant to drive Finance & Controlling workstreams for a multi‑country rollout. You will plan and execute deployments, ensure FI/CO configuration and testing, and adapt processes to meet statutory and tax requirements across jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead FI configuration and core processes across AR, AP, tax, financial postings, and asset accounting.
• Verify invoice data flow from billing through to financial accounting.
• Coordinate e‑Invoicing rollout activities with compliance and DRC specialists.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, compliance teams, and technical integration teams.
• Drive testing cycles, defect triage, resolution, and deployment readiness.
• Serve as the primary functional contact for client stakeholders and integration teams.
• Elicit requirements, write functional specifications, and shape solution design.
• Manage stakeholders and communicate across client‑led, multi‑team delivery environments.
• Troubleshoot complex data flow and integration issues across connected platforms.
• Lead country rollout projects, including local statutory/tax localization per jurisdiction, starting with Emerging Markets.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in SAP FICO, with at least two full‑lifecycle implementation or rollout engagements in a lead or senior functional capacity.
• Deep expertise in General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting and Bank Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
• Solid understanding of tax determination and multi‑jurisdiction tax logic.
• Proven background in financial closing processes, including period‑end and year‑end close.
• Experience with API‑based and middleware integrations between SAP and external/government platforms.
