Regional Accounting Manager – CIS

About the role

The Regional Accounting Manager – CIS reports to the Global Finance Director and is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting function across the Group’s entities in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The role ensures accurate books, timely month‑end close, reliable regional reporting and strong financial controls while supporting local operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day accounting and month‑end close for CIS entities under IFRS, local statutory requirements and Group policies.
• Prepare monthly consolidated financial reports, including entity‑level reporting, intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
• Oversee tax, statutory and regulatory compliance, coordinating with local advisers and managing statutory audits.
• Improve accounting procedures, internal controls and month‑end processes; support ERP implementation and finance automation.
• Manage cash planning, banking administration, payroll accounting and act as the main finance contact for regional stakeholders.
• Lead local accounting teams and manage outsourced service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a regional or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and practical experience with month‑end close, financial reporting and intercompany accounting.
• Experience working with entities in Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan) is strongly preferred.
• Fluent English; Russian highly desirable, with Uzbek, Kyrgyz or Kazakh as an advantage.
