Senior HPC / CUDA Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior HPC / CUDA Engineer to optimize high‑performance scientific computing applications on modern GPU platforms, focusing on seismic imaging and Full Waveform Inversion (FWI). You will work remotely from anywhere in Kyrgyzstan, collaborating with engineers across HPC, numerical methods, and GPU computing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize CUDA kernels and GPU‑accelerated applications for computationally intensive workloads.
• Analyze and improve performance across consumer and data‑center NVIDIA GPU platforms, profiling bottlenecks at kernel, PTX, memory and multi‑GPU levels.
• Develop and maintain distributed multi‑GPU solutions using MPI, NCCL and NVSHMEM.
• Maintain high‑quality scientific software components in C++ and Python, and debug complex runtime issues.
• Contribute to scientific tools for seismic data preprocessing, visualization and analysis, working with HDF5 and related formats.

Required profile

• Strong experience in HPC and GPU‑accelerated software development.
• Advanced knowledge of CUDA programming, NVIDIA GPU architecture and kernel optimization.
• Proven C++ development skills for performance‑critical applications.
• Experience with distributed or multi‑GPU computing and parallel programming concepts.
• Analytical problem‑solving ability to investigate complex performance and runtime issues.
