Senior Python Engineer – GenAI & Data Platforms

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer to join our fast‑paced, innovative team. You will design scalable data pipelines, build cloud‑native applications, and leverage GenAI tools to accelerate development for modern data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web services and background jobs using FastAPI.
• Build and optimise data processing and reporting solutions with Pandas, Polars, openpyxl, and DuckDB.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures (data lakes, medallion, star schema).
• Deploy and manage applications on Azure services such as Container Apps, Storage, Service Bus, and SignalR.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation using GitHub Actions.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code practices with Bicep, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Utilise AI‑assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot for spec‑driven development.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production‑grade Python development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with FastAPI or similar web frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data processing tools (Pandas, Polars, openpyxl, DuckDB).
• Experience designing data pipelines and working with data lake architectures.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, Azure cloud services, and IaC solutions.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
