Senior/Lead SAP IS Retail Master Data Functional Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP IS Retail Senior Functional Consultant to lead solution design, system enhancements, and end‑to‑end project delivery. You will act as the bridge between business needs and technology, translating complex requirements into scalable SAP solutions while coordinating with offshore development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business needs into advanced capabilities using standard SAP packages.
• Identify required localisations or enhancements and build clear business cases.
• Create functional requirements, configure the system and write detailed WRICEF functional specifications.
• Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure technical solutions meet functional requirements and quality standards.
• Conduct unit, functional, integration and user‑acceptance testing.
• Deliver scalable, sustainable business solutions across multiple formats, channels, countries and business models.
• Support change‑management activities, provide training content and assist organizational transformation.
• Provide 3rd‑level functional support and application administration for European operating companies.
• Collaborate with peers across applications/modules to ensure seamless integration.
• Identify opportunities for process and system enhancements and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience implementing SAP applications from design to go‑live.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with SAP IS Retail functionalities, especially master data (articles, sites, customers, vendors, pricing conditions, hierarchies, etc.).
• Proven ability to define business requirements, manage change and handle escalations.
• Strong track record of delivering high‑quality SAP solutions based on complex business needs.
