Warehouse Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to supervise and optimise daily warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, replenishment, shipping and returns. The role ensures high productivity, quality and customer service while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and improve daily warehouse activities such as receipt, storage, off‑loading and loading.
• Optimise processes to guarantee on‑time delivery to internal and external customers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and drive stock quality.
• Process customer receipts, credits and inter‑depot transfers.
• Handle critical products that affect downtime, including sorting and forklift availability.
• Oversee inflow and outflow of full products and containers.
• Achieve warehouse performance indicators (PI’s) and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
• Participate in annual target setting and cascade team and individual goals.
• Manage team performance through daily tracking and monthly one‑on‑ones.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures, work instructions and operational work documents.
• Ensure safety standards are met and promote correct safety behaviours on the shop‑floor.
• Maximise asset utilisation, including warehouses, forklifts and human resources.
• Supervise daily stock counts and ensure shipment accuracy.
• Handle internal and external customer complaints.
• Own and drive VPO/DPO implementation and represent the warehouse during milestone audits.
• Collect and submit daily KPI data to the Warehouse Controller.

Required profile

• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
• Strong, assertive and compliance‑driven attitude.
• Creative, with a strong work ethic and dependable follow‑through.
• Positive, self‑motivated and team‑oriented.
• Minimum B.Sc./B.Tech/HND in a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in logistics and supply‑chain management.
