Azure Systems Architect

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Systems Architect to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will lead end‑to‑end cloud initiatives, ensure operational excellence, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver enterprise‑grade platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design complete Azure‑based solutions with focus on scalability, security, and high availability.
• Develop robust deployment pipelines supporting rollbacks, blue/green, and canary releases.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, infrastructure diagrams, and production runbooks.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies using Azure native tools.
• Define capacity‑planning, auto‑scaling, backup, and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to build Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
• Work with Solutions Architects and Application Teams to design integrations and guarantee platform readiness.
• Coordinate with Project and Delivery Managers for production readiness and go‑live planning.
• Advise development teams on architectural changes and drive cloud cost optimization.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex systems on Microsoft Azure.
• Deep knowledge of Azure services (App Services, AKS, SQL, Storage, Networking).
• Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design and advanced deployment strategies.
• Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and logging with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Solid understanding of capacity planning, scaling, backup, and disaster recovery in Azure.
• In‑depth familiarity with cloud security, compliance, and governance best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
• Excellent communication and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
