Cyber Security Support Services Specialist

About the role

Transform technology into opportunity as a Cyber Security Support Specialist with GDIT. You will support the U.S. Air Forces Europe and Africa mission, ensuring information security, compliance, and resilience across critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and define security requirements and support system assessment and authorization (A&A) efforts.
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments, security evaluations, audits, and reviews.
• Develop and recommend security policies, contingency plans, incident response, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Provide security awareness training and ensure adherence to security policies.
• Execute Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties per DoD and AF regulations for assigned network enclaves.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 6 years in defining computer security requirements for high‑level applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience). Master’s degree acceptable with reduced experience.
• DoD 8570.01M IAT Level III certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) and ability to obtain (ISC)2 CGRC.

Required skills

• Risk Management Framework (RMF) expertise.
• Proficiency with eMASS or XACTA for ATO package management.
• Experience with SNAP, GIAP, and ACAS vulnerability scanner.
• Knowledge of STIG and SCAP tools.
• Strong understanding of Federal and DoD cybersecurity regulations and best practices.
