Dedicated Server Provisioning Engineer

About the role

UltaHost, a global web hosting and infrastructure provider offering dedicated servers, VPS, cloud infrastructure and managed hosting, is looking for an experienced Dedicated Server Provisioning Engineer to join its infrastructure operations team. You will coordinate dedicated server provisioning, hardware sourcing, server configuration and deployment across the company's global infrastructure and data center partner network, working with infrastructure teams, technical support, hardware vendors and data center providers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and recommend dedicated server configurations based on workload, performance, scalability and budget.
• Evaluate and specify hardware (CPU, RAM, SSD/NVMe storage, RAID controllers, network interfaces, bandwidth).
• Coordinate end-to-end provisioning, from order placement through deployment and service activation, including OS installation, remote management access and network configuration.
• Track provisioning progress, resolve bottlenecks and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate procurement and hardware sourcing with data centers, manufacturers and suppliers, and source alternatives when requested hardware is unavailable.
• Handle hardware upgrade, replacement and modification requests, and maintain records of inventory, deployed resources and capacity.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineering, system administration and technical support teams, and escalate delays or hardware limitations.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in dedicated server hosting, bare-metal infrastructure, server provisioning, data center operations or technical server procurement.
• Strong understanding of enterprise server hardware and the provisioning lifecycle.
• Ability to turn customer workload needs into server configurations and to coordinate with international teams.
• Good written and spoken English; able to work independently in a distributed team.

Required skills

• Server hardware: CPU, RAM, SSD/NVMe storage, RAID, network interfaces.
• Basic networking: IP addressing, VLANs, bandwidth allocation.
• Preferred: Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux) and Windows Server, remote management tools (IPMI, iDRAC, iLO, KVM over IP), WHMCS, cPanel/WHM, Plesk, DirectAdmin, Proxmox VE, DCIM tools, Bash or Python scripting.
