ET Procurement Consultant (1‑year contract)

About the role

The World Bank is seeking an ET Procurement Consultant to support public procurement reforms in the Europe and Central Asia region. The position is based in Bishkek for a one‑year term and will work under the guidance of the practice manager and hub coordinator.

Key responsibilities

• Support client countries in achieving value for money and integrity in public procurement.
• Analyze procurement markets, conduct risk assessments, and develop procurement strategies and plans.
• Provide technical fiduciary advice, review bidding documents, evaluation reports, and other procurement paperwork.
• Engage senior government officials to advance policy dialogue and translate it into concrete reform proposals.
• Mentor stakeholders and develop training modules on complex procurement topics.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in business administration, engineering, law, public policy or a related field.
• Minimum five years of direct procurement experience, preferably with international exposure.
• High integrity, strong communication skills, and ability to work in multicultural environments.
