About the role

The bank is seeking a senior compliance professional to lead the monitoring and control of anti‑money‑laundering (AML) and counter‑terrorism financing activities. The role involves advising staff, analysing client documents, and ensuring strict adherence to national regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to employees on the application of bank policies, procedures, and National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic (NBKR) regulations related to AML/LFD.
• Identify suspicious transaction patterns, review client documentation, and prepare recommendations for decision‑makers.
• Maintain confidentiality of commercial and banking secrets in line with Kyrgyz legislation and internal rules.
• Participate in working groups, conferences, seminars, and other forums relevant to the bank’s compliance activities.
• Monitor client and employee operations to prevent involvement in money‑laundering or terrorist financing, flagging mandatory, suspicious, and unusual transactions.
• Record and track suspicious operations based on internal or departmental information.

Required profile

• Higher education in economics, accounting, finance, banking or law.
• Minimum 2 years of AML/LFD experience and at least 3 years in financial‑credit institutions.
• Strong knowledge of Kyrgyz banking legislation, NBKR regulatory acts, and basic risk‑management principles.
• Certificate in the basic NBKR AML/LFD course.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical and interpersonal abilities.
• Positive references from previous employers.

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and internet tools.
