Individual Contractor, Project Support

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking an Individual Contractor to support the inception and early implementation phases of the JUST4ALL 2 project in the Kyrgyz Republic. Working under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the contractor will assist with project planning, stakeholder mapping, and the preparation of briefing materials.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse information on justice‑sector needs, priorities and ongoing reforms from online sources and government websites.
• Prepare background, analytical and briefing documents for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinate consultations, meetings and the organisation of the first Project Steering Committee meeting.
• Support the development of project documentation, including work plans and monitoring tools.
• Assist with travel arrangements and logistical support for field activities within Kyrgyzstan.

Required profile

• University degree in law, public administration, international relations or a related field.
• Experience in project support, research or stakeholder engagement, preferably in justice‑sector reform contexts.
• Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to produce concise briefing notes.
• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Russian or Kyrgyz is an advantage.
