Lead Azure Cloud Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Azure Cloud Engineer to design, build, automate, and manage secure, scalable, and cost‑effective solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with Cloud Architects, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Security, Networking, Data, AI, and Product teams to deliver robust Azure platforms that support modern applications, containerized workloads, and enterprise AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure infrastructure including subscriptions, resource groups, networking, identity, governance, and platform services.
• Create reusable deployment patterns for applications, APIs, microservices, containers, serverless functions, data integrations, and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments, managing node pools, ingress, workload identity, secrets, autoscaling, monitoring, and security controls.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform with reusable modules, multi‑environment pipelines, and automated validation.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools, supporting automated builds, testing, security scanning, artifact management, and release automation.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate scripting, IaC development, pipeline creation, and documentation.
• Deploy cloud‑native services (App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault, API Management, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Monitor, Application Insights).
• Implement AI solutions using Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Machine Learning, and related services.
• Ensure secure integration using managed identities, RBAC, private endpoints, private DNS, NSGs, firewalls, and API gateways.
• Set up observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Container Insights, dashboards, alerts, and runbooks.

Required profile

• Proven experience architecting and operating large‑scale Azure environments.
• Strong background in containerization, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.
• Hands‑on expertise with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps tooling.
• Experience integrating AI services into cloud solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams.
