Lead Data Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Lead Data Software Engineer with deep expertise in Apache Spark and large‑scale distributed computing. The role covers the full lifecycle of our data infrastructure, from ingestion design to long‑term reliability and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data ingestion pipelines using cloud‑native and big‑data technologies, ensuring scalability and alignment with the technical roadmap.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing daily guidance, code reviews, and acting as the primary technical contact for customers.
• Manage the full technical stack, including configuration, monitoring, debugging, performance tuning, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and data architects to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data software engineering, focusing on large‑scale distributed systems.
• Proven track record as a technical team lead, bridging business needs and engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2+ level) and ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.

• Python and SQL
• Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow
• Major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of Databricks or Snowflake (nice to have)
• Strong understanding of SDLC, quality gates, and Agile methodologies
