Lead Unreal Engine UI Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Unreal Engine UI Developer to own the design and implementation of high‑performance, mobile‑first user interfaces for a major cross‑platform product. You will work closely with EPAM engineers and client stakeholders to deliver scalable UI solutions across PC, mobile, and console.

Key responsibilities

• Build and extend responsive native UI systems in Unreal Engine using UMG.
• Architect UI layouts with clean separation between presentation and data layers using modern patterns.
• Structure and optimise data pipelines for efficient frontend data delivery.
• Translate UX designs into performant in‑engine interfaces.
• Optimise UI performance for iOS, Android, PC and console platforms.
• Lead code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience focused on game UI.
• At least 1 year of people‑management or team‑lead experience.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with Unreal Engine, including packaging and platform targeting.
• Proven ability to connect Unreal UI to backend services or data pipelines.
• Cross‑platform development experience (PC, mobile, console) with awareness of platform‑specific constraints.
• Strong written and verbal English communication (B2+).
