Legal Counsel – CIS Region (Kyrgyzstan)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to act as the Group’s primary onsite legal representative in Kyrgyzstan. The role provides hands‑on legal support to local operations while overseeing corporate, licensing, regulatory and compliance matters across the CIS region. You will work independently and report directly to the Head of Corporate, Licensing & IP in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day legal advice to the Kyrgyzstan operations team on commercial, corporate, employment, licensing and regulatory issues.
• Manage entity registration, corporate governance, statutory compliance and licence applications in Kyrgyzstan and the wider CIS.
• Maintain relationships with regulators, government authorities and external counsel; represent the Group in official communications.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, vendor, service and employment agreements under local law.
• Support AML, KYC and other regulatory compliance programmes, identifying risks and recommending mitigation measures.
• Coordinate cross‑border legal projects with the Group Legal, Legal Operations and Compliance teams.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer licensed in Kyrgyzstan or another CIS jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 4 years post‑qualification experience in corporate, commercial, regulatory or licensing law.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
