Program Coordinator – Developing Global Leaders (DGL)

About the role

The Developing Global Leaders (DGL) Program Coordinator supports Young Life’s international leadership pipeline by managing applications, onboarding, student progress reporting, and alumni engagement. This role works closely with Young Life leadership, country coordinators, local staff, mentors, and donors to ensure a seamless experience for program participants.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate and maintain positive relationships with Young Life leadership, DGL country coordinators, graduates, and current students.
• Oversee the full DGL application and onboarding cycle, including calls for nominations, interview coordination, recommendation drafting, and documentation of onboarding steps.
• Assist students with application review, biography preparation for donor communications, and signing participation agreements.
• Monitor, review, and approve student reports such as blogs, progress reports, transcripts, scholarship receipts, and tuition payment confirmations.
• Build and sustain relationships with local staff and mentors, providing resources to support DGL students.
• Plan DGL events and reunions, and integrate students into local leadership trainings and conferences.
• Maintain the DGL database, tracking graduates’ employment and ongoing Young Life involvement.
• Facilitate student off‑boarding through final interviews, feedback collection, and alumni relationship management.
• Collect stories, quotes, photos, and videos for donor and supporter communications.
