Regional Accounting Manager – CIS

About the role

The Regional Accounting Manager – CIS reports to the Global Finance Director and is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting function across the Group’s entities in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The role ensures accurate books, timely month‑end close, reliable regional reporting and strong financial controls while supporting local operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day accounting and month‑end close for entities in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local statutes.
• Prepare and consolidate monthly financial reports for the CIS region, including intercompany reconciliations, elimination entries and variance analysis.
• Oversee tax, statutory and regulatory compliance, coordinating audits and transfer‑pricing matters with local advisers.
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls and ERP implementation to increase speed and accuracy.
• Manage cash planning, banking administration and payroll accounting in partnership with Group Treasury.
• Lead local accounting teams and manage outsourced service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a regional or multinational environment with exposure to Central Asian entities.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and hands‑on experience with month‑end close, financial reporting and intercompany accounting.
• Fluent English; Russian highly desirable and knowledge of Uzbek, Kyrgyz or Kazakh a plus.
