Senior Customer Technical Support Specialist

About the role

Ball is seeking a Senior Customer Technical Support Specialist to join its Operations team. In this hands‑on, customer‑facing position you will ensure the optimal performance of Ball’s aluminium packaging products on customer filling lines across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive technical service and support to assigned customers, guaranteeing product performance and satisfaction.
• Plan, coordinate and execute filling‑line trials for new or modified Ball products and for customer product introductions.
• Serve as the first point of contact for quality issues, manage customer communication, coordinate investigations with manufacturing plants and drive corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot customer filling lines, identify root causes using Six Sigma and statistical tools.
• Arrange testing of can and end samples, deliver timely reports and recommendations.
• Conduct audits of customer facilities to uncover efficiency, safety and quality improvement opportunities.
• Deliver training on Good Manufacturing Practices, stress corrosion, seaming and can handling.
• Collaborate with internal manufacturing, sales and quality teams to align on specifications, standards and trial results.
• Support onboarding of new customers, products and production lines through technical validation and data‑driven feedback.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Technical training or an Engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial preferred).
• Proven experience in technical customer support within a production environment.
• Familiarity with quality systems, Lean Six Sigma or statistical analysis tools.
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent organization and problem‑solving abilities.
• Customer‑oriented communication and relationship‑building skills.
