Senior DevOps Engineer - Azure

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operation of our Azure infrastructure platform. You will work with Terraform/OpenTofu, Kubernetes, and Configuration as Code to build reliable, scalable cloud environments for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Terraform/OpenTofu modules for Azure services such as App Services, Container Apps, Functions, SQL, Cosmos DB, and PostgreSQL.
• Operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, handling provisioning, add‑on configuration, networking, policy, and tenant onboarding.
• Implement identity and secret management using managed identities, service principals, Azure Key Vault and OpenBao.
• Create and manage image factory pipelines for VM and container golden images, including CIS hardening and vulnerability scanning.
• Run Ansible playbooks for post‑provisioning configuration and handoff of golden images.
• Integrate Backstage templates for Azure provisioning and perform end‑to‑end testing of generated infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot production issues, contribute to drift detection, testing and documentation of IaC modules.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience building and operating Azure infrastructure with Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Proven experience managing production AKS clusters, including networking, policies and namespace management.
• Strong knowledge of Azure identity (managed identities, service principals) and secret integration.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration as code and image pipeline automation.
• Solid understanding of Azure networking components such as VNets, private endpoints and NSGs.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
