Transport Economist – International Project Development

About the role

Yooshin Engineering Corporation is seeking a Transport Economist to join its International Project Development team in Kyrgyzstan. The role focuses on the proposal stage of transport infrastructure projects, primarily funded by multilateral development banks such as the ADB.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive economic analysis of transport projects financed by ADB or other multilateral development banks.
• Develop feasibility studies and cost‑benefit analyses for major highway projects in Central Asia and CIS countries.
• Prepare technical and financial reports to support project proposals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and funding requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, transport planning, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in economic analysis of transport projects.
• At least 10 years of experience as a transport economist on major highway projects in Central Asia or CIS, preferably Kyrgyzstan.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HDM‑4 Version 2.12.02 for transport modelling.
