Business Development Head - Lending

About the role

This senior position leads the business development function for a well‑established financial services firm focused on consumer and lending solutions. You will shape growth strategy, forge strategic partnerships and drive loan portfolio expansion across multiple customer segments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies for lending products.
• Identify, evaluate and secure new partnership opportunities, distribution channels and corporate relationships.
• Lead sales initiatives to increase loan bookings, market share and overall portfolio health.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to uncover trends and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Credit, Operations, Marketing and Risk teams to ensure seamless customer experience and efficient loan processing.
• Monitor performance metrics, sales productivity and portfolio health against targets.
• Prepare business cases, partnership proposals and management reports for strategic decision‑making.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing business development team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales leadership or partnership management within financial services, lending, banking or fintech.
• Strong track record of driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships and achieving business targets.
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and establish long‑term commercial relationships.
• Excellent analytical and commercial acumen with experience interpreting performance data.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to market opportunities.
