Regional Expert to Strengthen Safe Migration Hotline Services

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Regional Expert to strengthen safe migration hotline services across Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. This consultancy will support the Central Asia Safe Migration project, providing timely, gender‑sensitive information to migrant workers and returning migrants.

Key responsibilities

• Support IOM’s programmatic activities in Kyrgyzstan and the wider region under the Central Asia Safe Migration project.
• Work under the direct supervision of the Sub‑regional Project Manager and coordinate closely with project teams and government partners.
• Contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of hotline services that deliver accurate information on safe migration, recruitment practices and rights.
• Assist in the delivery of financial‑literacy training, business development support and small‑grant management for returning migrants.
• Provide regular reports and deliverables as defined in the consultancy Terms of Reference.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in migration‑related projects, preferably with a focus on safe migration or hotline services.
• Familiarity with the labour‑migration context of Central Asia, including the UK Seasonal Workers Scheme.
• Ability to work in a hybrid mode across multiple countries and to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills to produce deliverables on schedule.
