Translation Project Manager (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a highly driven Translation Project Manager to lead translation projects from inception to delivery. This fully remote position works closely with clients, internal teams, and freelance linguists to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Serve as the primary client contact, providing exceptional support and building long‑term relationships.
• Negotiate scopes, prepare proposals, and deliver quotations for new business opportunities.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day communications, status reporting, and proactive issue resolution.
• Train and support linguists on required tools, review work quality, and give feedback.
• Provide clients with reporting on business intelligence, quality, and productivity.
• Act as liaison between translators and evaluators, and manage capacity planning.
• Utilize client‑specific translation and CAT tools as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferably in translation studies, linguistics, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years as a Project Manager in translation services.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Translation tools such as SDL Trados Studio, Across, Plunet, XTM, Wordfast, MemoQ.
• Experience with desktop publishing (DTP) tools.
