Trainer – Capacity Building for Hotline Operators

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks an experienced trainer to deliver capacity‑building sessions for hotline operators supporting the Central Asia Safe Migration project. The assignment runs from 15 September to 30 November 2026 and will be carried out in a hybrid mode from Bishkek.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver training modules on safe migration, recruitment practices, rights and obligations for hotline staff.
• Facilitate interactive workshops, role‑plays and case‑studies to strengthen operators’ communication and counseling skills.
• Develop training materials, handouts and digital resources tailored to gender‑sensitive information needs.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching and feedback to ensure quality of hotline consultations.
• Submit deliverables and progress reports in line with the consultancy agreement.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in adult training, capacity building or migration‑related projects.
• Familiarity with seasonal worker schemes, especially the UK Seasonal Workers Scheme.
• Strong understanding of migration challenges in Central Asia.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Kyrgyz or Russian is an advantage.
