Accountant / Office Accountant - Infrastructure Feasibility Study

About the role

SMEC, a specialist in transport and energy infrastructure design, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant / Office Accountant to support its project team on an upcoming feasibility study for a road/infrastructure project in the Solomon Islands. The role covers the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the project office.

Key responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the project office
• Record expenses and process payments
• Manage petty cash
• Handle financial documentation and reconciliations
• Prepare project financial reports

Required profile

• University degree in accounting or another relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial due diligence for infrastructure, including the transport sector, or a related field
• Fluent writing and speaking English is mandatory
