Information Assurance Analyst (Cyber Security)

About the role

Join GDIT as an Information Assurance Analyst and support critical cyber missions for the federal government. You will work directly with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure information systems remain secure, compliant, and mission‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update system authorization packages.
• Coordinate hardware, software, and firmware changes with the ISSM and Authorizing Official.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and monitor system recovery processes.
• Maintain current security documentation and audit records.
• Notify the ISSM of any changes that could affect system authorization.
• Participate in network software upgrades, certificate renewals, and installations.
• Collaborate with the Air Force client on IA‑related tasks.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Information Security Analyst.
• Technical training, certification(s) or a degree in a related field.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications such as CASP+, CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, CISA, CISSP, or GSLC.

Required skills

• RMF (Risk Management Framework) process knowledge.
• DoD IA procedures and experience working in a DoD environment.
• Security+ CE or 8140 equivalent (day 1).
• Familiarity with network security tools and certificate management.
