Lead AI Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled, innovation‑driven Lead AI Engineer to spearhead the development of cutting‑edge Generative AI solutions. You will work with a dynamic team to design, build, and deploy AI‑driven technologies that solve real‑world challenges while shaping the technical roadmap and mentoring engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the architecture of scalable, enterprise‑grade AI applications, including multi‑agent workflows, custom search engines, and end‑to‑end systems.
• Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to translate goals into technical roadmaps and recommend high‑impact LLM‑driven solutions.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, data pipelines, prompt management, and automated evaluation frameworks.
• Mentor junior and senior developers, conduct design reviews, and promote best practices.
• Direct R&D efforts, guide research on emerging models, and standardize tools and frameworks for Generative AI.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a Lead, Principal, or Senior AI/Software Engineering role with a proven record of shipping production‑grade AI/ML solutions.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Python (expert level), including FastAPI or equivalent web frameworks.
• Core NLP concepts: semantic similarity, tokenization, NER, text classification.
• Generative AI design patterns such as Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and autonomous multi‑agent networks.
• Experience with major LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, Gemini).
• Framework orchestration tools like LangGraph or LlamaIndex.
• Performance, security (prompt injection mitigation, data privacy), and cloud cost optimization for AI applications.
• Programmatic evaluation methods, including LLM‑as‑a‑judge approaches.
• Rapid UI/UX prototyping using Streamlit, Gradio, or similar tools.
